Red copper, white copper, and brass—these three types of copper are hammered and stacked together. Crafted via national intangible cultural heritage (ICH) precision casting, the body adopts the mokume-gane technique. Due to the high randomness in the production process, the grain of each mokume-gane work is unique and cannot be replicated identically.

The term "Shan Gui" (Mountain Spirit) first appeared in Qu Yuan’s Chu Ci·Jiu Ge (Chu Songs·Nine Odes). Later, ancient Taoists traveling or residing in mountains would cast talismans of Shan Gui into coins to carry with them, praying for peace and good fortune—these came to be known as "Shan Gui Hua Qian" (Mountain Spirit Auspicious Coins).
The outer ring of this coin is adorned with patterns of an auspicious dragon emerging from the sea. Breaking through the waves and forging ahead courageously, the dragon symbolizes that the wearer can overcome difficulties, fulfill their goals and ideals, and achieve success on their life journey. In ancient Chinese beliefs, dragons also served as messengers between heaven and earth, bringing blessings from both realms to those who wear this coin.
The outer ring on the reverse side features wave patterns combined with the Twelve Earthly Branches, integrating the power of nature with the cycle of time. Paired with a red bead string that symbolizes vigorous vitality, it wishes the wearer a smooth and worry-free life!
